Current Goal

***FEATURED*** on the Podcacher.com podcast (show 225, 4th anniversary of the podcast)
To travel from cache to cache and go as far as possible. The key for the bike lock is actually in the cache. The bike should be locked to something nearby (a tree if in the woods). Please keep the key in a cache near the bike (do not separate).

About This Item

bikeTB.jpg

This TB is a full size mountain bike. Therefore, there are some logistical issues in moving it from cache to cache. See if you can figure out a solution to keep it moving. Tell us your transport story.

The 3 options that come to my mind are:
  1. Walk to the cache; ride the bike to the next cache; walk home (For those who like lots of exercise).
  2. Have your partner drive to the next cache while you ride the bike.
  3. If you have a vehicle that can handle it, transport the bike in your vehicle (back of truck, trunk/hatchback of a car, etc.). This option creates the potential for the TB traveling large distances.

Any bike maintenance that you can do is much appreciated (fill tires, repair, etc).

RIDE THE BIKE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I CAN NOT GUARANTEE YOUR SAFETY.

Thanks to all who helped this large, unwieldy TB along, and all of those who followed its travels.
It appears to have disappeared. It hasn't been logged as seen in 1.5 years (Sept 2010), so I think it is gone.

Bicycle had a nice long ride, longer than I expected: 4 years from 2006 to 2010, and 3300 miles. Not bad for a bike ride.

Maybe someone reading this can start their own bicycle TB (or other vehicle?). Who will release the automobile TB? Hmm...maybe a scooter TB is more appropriate.

Found this one in the cache, but could not locate the other half of the trackable. Leaving the trackable in the cache. Nice easy find. No other trackables in the cache.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 7/18/2010 bobfeeley grabbed it   Visit Log

The Bicycle was not at the cache it was last dropped at but the cache it was taken from. I will log it to the correct cache.

Retrieve It from a Cache 5/4/2010 bjakz retrieved it from Templeton State Forest Hotel Massachusetts   Visit Log

I came accross this while searching for the cache. I was sure someone was in the woods watching. I grabbed the other 1/2 of the TB and went back to the car. I looked at the 1/2 TB before I left and read that I had to take all or nothing. So, I took it all. I put it in my car and drove to the next cache. I then road it to the cache. The rear tire is getting low. Awesome TB!!
