Little Notch is an adult female platypus who gets her name from the small notch in her bill "shield", possibly caused by the sharp claws of a freshwater crayfish. Little Notch is one of several platypus who have been encountered many times during on-going APC research at Toorourrong. Found the cache, took a photo, and scurried off as the weather took a change for the worse!
Took a chance with a break in the wet weather to go hunting for this nice wee forest-based cache...
Little Notch wandered through looking at the headstones, took a snap to record the event, then split for caches further afield!
Being a Sunday it seemed appropriate to drop by and find this wee cache... 😉
