Current Goal

To hang out in the case of Trackable Items in the GPS Adventures Maze. It is currently at the GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit - Corvette Museum.

Completed on 7/3/2008: To reunite with MissJenn in Seattle.

Older, completed, goal: To cross the country and visit the last active Project APE cache around: Mission 9: Tunnel of Light in Washington State's Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The icon to denote this cache is one of only two icons I do not already have in the Found column of my User Stats. I'm curious who will make it to this cache first: this frog geocoin or me! Along the way, this coin would like to visit old, old caches: ones that were placed in 2002 and 2001.

About This Item

front and back

My small handful of frog geocoins - they're actually poker chips - arrived in midAugust, 2002. Thanks so much to Crusso for the help in getting them. Several have been placed in caches here and there, but admittedly not very many. I've been so stingy with them. One or two special cachers have managed to grab one right out of my little hands! I finally decided - over 2 years later - to let one travel from cache to cache without a chaperone. I'm a tad nervous ...

Sad story with happy ending. . . .We found this travel bug TWO years ago right as we were moving. It was placed in a safe place for the move and after we moved, we forgot where we put it. I felt really bad about this and thought about it from time to time. We had made a major move and were so busy getting settled here with teenagers we had not resumed cacheing. Looking back, should have sent a note to tbug owner but my son always did the logging and I did not even realize that this should of been done until recently. Great friends from Ohio came to visit and we decided to cache again. As we did, the tbug really bothered me. As I relaxed for a quick Saturday afternoon nap, I was thinking about the tbug and it hit me like a brick!!!! I remembered where it was. I went right to it and it was safe and sound!! Today we took it to a great location near the interstate so hopefully it can catch a ride and make up for lost time!!!!! Sincerly sorry for the mess up!!!!!!

While I was finding the cache I saw a snake and that scared me so I didnt do that well on that one because I was scared but it was fun. Then we found it and opened it up and I saw it! I was so excited! My family is moving in two weeks so I will place it in a cache when we get to where we are going.
