Current Goal

Hi - I'm Runli. I was sent out to explore the US by my mum and dad. After almost 2 years I think I'd like to return home. Please can you help me get back to Berkshire - UK, somewhere close to Wokingham. The closest cache to home is No Place Like Home - GCJ19F

Thanks to everyone for showing me a great time - Runli.....

About This Item

Runli

Hi I'm Runli and I'm a small brown bear with a big blue back pack with an RNLI Lifeboats logo written on it. RNLI - stands for Royal National Lifeboat Institute and is a UK charity set up to rescue sailors and all maritime people in difficulty. As ex divers mum & dad always knew the RNLI were always there if they were needed. They bought me as an excuse to make yet another donation to a worthwhile charity, adding yet another bear to the collection and having the excuse to create their first Travel Bear (Bug) - all their bugs are going to be some kind of small furry critters.

I travelled from the UK to North Carolina with my mum and dad at the beginning of their vacation early December 2003. I was placed in the RDU Travel Bug Hotel where I waited just over a week to be picked up so my adventure has now begun for real. I'd like to travel around the US before returning home to the UK to tell of my travels. Mum & Dad are going to put out my welcome home cache early in 2004 so there will be somewhere for me to return home to when I'm tired

You can see photos of my pals at home on mum and dad's web site which will also track my travels and display my holiday photos. I'm looking forward to my travels, seeing the world and meeting new pals - I think I'll be a little scared of the big wide world so please be friendly to me.

In my back pack there should be a couple of US dollars for emergency supplies (or just in case I see a souvenir I'd like to buy), my passport and mum & dads calling card in case you need to contact them.

Please send photos home to my mum and dad to show them I'm having fun and which they can show on my travel page

Yes Runli was out and about again today. He returned home about a year ago to the Binfield Cache Bash so decided he wanted to go back this year to what is now becoming an annual event.

Ho ho ho... 😁
I was given this TB by Liane of The Cache Hoppers via Pengy&Tigger at a local bash today.
13,000 miles and it's back in good ol' Wokers!
Fancy a reunion next Saturday?
