This virtual Travel Bug moves like a benevolent minister, priest, rabbi, (shaman, spiritual advisor, fill in your own) etc. to stand with you as you bestow respect and rememberance towards the memory of great, lost caches that are now archived. St. Fanurius of Geo seeks only those caches which were truly great, deserved to be honored and are now sorely missed.
Do you mourn for the loss a particular archived cache which was quite special in it's location and/or design? Do you wish others could now experience the joy that you remembered when you were there? Our Saint offers comfort and gentleness for your geocacher heart.
All you need to do is invite our Saint along with you to the page of any archived geocache that is truly worthy of such a rememberance. Just Post A Note on the archived cache's page to drop off this bug and mention the Saint's role in visiting.
Then make sure you post a nicely detailed paragraph here describing your thoughts and your memories of the cache. Let us know why it was so special and why it is so missed nowadays. Just posting this TB in some cache with no note makes the Saint very sad, because he REALLY needs your written memories of the past cache in order to give a proper rememberance. Thanks for your detailed description of what made the cache worth a Saintly visit.
(IMPORTANT: As of April 20,2005, a detailed paragraph on this page is now a required rule. If this rule is not followed, a single polite reminder note will be sent by the owner to the cacher who didn't take the rule into consideration. A reminder note will also be posted by the TB owner on this page. If the log is not properly re-done within 7 days, that log will be deleted by the TB owner. Thank you for treating the Saint with proper respect.)
You never know... after the Saint is invited to be with you for a ceremony of respect and rememberance to a particular bygone cache, we may just witness this TB's rumored saintly powers of ressurrection! When that happens, we can claim an Official St. Fanurius of Geo Miracle. "Lo! For a great archived cache with no hope comes to life again! Hallelujah!!"
His name, St. Fanurius of Geo, is inspired by the name of the patron saint of lost things. Check out the history of the original saint name.
St. Fanurius of Geo's TB number is 454473. Please respect our Saint's sacred mission and guide his visits only towards those caches which are both bygone and greatly missed.
There is no longer a time limit for how long a worthy cache has been archived to make it eligible for a Saintly rememberance. Also, more than one person may join in memorials of the same cache (by 'grabbing' the bug and putting it back there with their own written eulogy-log on the cache page) IF the past cache is truly so worth such a salute. :)

What a great idea to have virtual coins. It seems they regularly go missing most likely in people's collections and this is a wonderful way for all to enjoy. I'm placing this in an archived cache called VID-e. It is somewhat ironic as VID stands for Vernon Irrigation District. When our city was much smaller, it was serviced by the VID. In the 70's, I was on this water system and each spring would find brown water in the tub and heaven help your clothes when in the washing machine. I'm happy to say we are now on city water and this is a mishap archived like the cache.

Whoops! Your TB owner screwed up... it is "perth pathfinders" - not Phillipine Clan! Apologies has been sent!

Phillimore Clan has been emailed a gentle reminder as to the TB rule that a whole paragraph is needed for the Saint to be able to give proper rememberance and respect.
Phillimore Clan, please post many more words as to why your choice of archived cache was so special.
Thanks on behalf of both the Saint and those cachers who watch this TB so they can read all the good words of rememberance for caches gone by.

We found "The Missing Cacher" in June 04 as part of a group of cachers. This cache was designed for night caching with a well thought out plot to make your hairs stand on end. This has to be one of the best caches we have found, and it was a sad day for us (and I'm sure for any other cachers who had the privilege to find it) when it had to be archived.
RIP

There was a cache in Buckinghamshire that has fond memories for us that I would very much like St. Fanurius to visit.

It was with sadness that I saw this cache closed. It was our first. Mugglers kept hitting it.It would have been nice to have St Fanurius of Geo around earlier but thank him for the visit now.
I made a mistake in placeing the above information in the retrive rather than the placement section. with all due respect. YOu will note the above note. SOrry for breaking the rules via my excitement is having St Fanurious of Geo visit the site we miss so dearly.
