Beginning in the 1950's, Phil Sadowski followed his dream and created this Paradise.
Here is an excerpt from the City's Official Website:
"Key Colony Beach is located in the Heart of the Florida Keys at mile marker 53.5 on US Highway 1 which is known locally as the Overseas Highway. Driving south from Miami on US 1, the Keys begin about mile marker 106 in Key Largo and extend to mile marker 0 in Key West. The city, called the "Gem of the Florida Keys," is a on an island just south of the Overseas Highway connected via a causeway with a very small bridge."
Warning! Key Colony Beach police are very serious about the posted speed limit. Ignore the sign and pay the fine.

Huge thanks to k.f.boom for his generous good deed on 12/28/09. There is a new cache container and goodies inside! Thank You.
Please make sure you are not observed finding or replacing the cache. Park users as well as guests to the left of the park can see where the cache is hidden. The park is very busy at sunset.
