The Cats Made Me Do It Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Webfoot: While scouting out the trail to hide another cache, I discovered that The Cats Made Me Do It has been muggled by work crews widening the fire road. There is no other place near the original site to hide a replacement cache, so I'll be archiving the cache. Sigh. And so it goes.

Geocache Description:

Cache is located along a spur trail up in the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park heading toward Potato Mountain.

I'm a dog person. I like dogs. Not that I don't like cats, I just like dogs and yet most of the people I cache with are cat people, so that's the reason for the name of this cache. That, plus one of the cat lovers gave me this cache as a present and one of the other cat lovers has been telling me that I should hide some more caches up here. So that in a nutshell, is why this cache has this name. No, really. There's nothing more to it than that.

This cache is pretty straightforward. Drive up to Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, park your car in one of the two designated parking lots and hike, hike some more, and then find the cache. It's approximately 2+ miles up the trail from the parking area.

You're in a wilderness area. Be on the lookout for snakes and possibly big cats. Carry enough water, especially in the summer months as it gets hot up on the hill.

This cache is dedicated to my cat loving geocaching friends, GPSKitty, 3blackcats and 1bigdodgerfan.
