Lake Fausse Pointe State Park: Stroll and Discover the Cache in the Trail System! Bug spray a must during summer months. Great - well maintained trails - marvel at nature as you seach the trail system for your treasure. This is a great cache for families.
Our 10 year old daughter picked the hiding spot for this one. Enter the beauitful state park during regular hours (normally after dawn and until dusk). Follow the signs to enter the Trail System. Park you car in the designated parking -- walk over the footbridge and head onto Old Bird Island. Take Trail B (stay to the left as you enter the trail) and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature as you make your way toward the cache's discovery. You will not have far to go when you spot the log footbridge that takes you even deeper into the woods. Think like a Louisiana snake slithering on the ground and after some searching you should find this one with no problem. Please bring your a pen - we forgot to include one. There is a $5.00 McDonald's gift certificate for the first person to find it. Also in the cache is a log book, a Thomas Jefferson Travel Bug, several gold pirate treasure coins and alcohol hand sanitizer. Enjoy!!!
