This cache was placed to honor the SilverFox finding his 1000th cache.
Some Geocachers in the Chicago area, spcifically the "League of Extraordinary Geocachers" have a tradition of placing a cache in an effort to recognize those who pass a major milestone. Caches are placed for every 1000 found. It's just a small way to congratulate local cachers and their efforts. I would like to copy that tradition here in the Rochester area to recognize the SilverFox.
It is generally an easy hide, traditional ammo box (painted silver) for the purpose of recognizing and celebrating this milestone.
The SilverFox, my father-in-law, and my caching buddy has accompanied me on many a caching outings. He has followed me up many hills and down the other side, through thick and thin, sometimes very thick (bushwacking). Which is not bad considering his age (still young at heart) and the fact that he has had both hips and one knee replaced. He has reached this milestone in about 2 and 1/2 years, which is pretty impressive.
SilverFox was notified of this cache before publishing, so that he could get the FTF. Then it’s opened up for the greater community.
Please be cautious of muggles, this could be a high muggle area.
