Geocache Description:

O.K. so it’s not really a lost world, in fact it’s the remains of an old brick factory but when we stumbled across it the other day that was our first impression.

Because we planted the cache during the Christmas period we decided that to we would write some lyrics from Christmas No1 songs. (They are not all Christmas songs but just happened to be No1 at Christmas time). The co-ordinates provided at the top of the page are actually false. To get the correct co-ordinates for the cache you will have to find out the name of the song and then find out which year it was an Xmas No1. Once you have the year you just need the last number e.g. 1975 = 5 and 2006 = 6.

How to get there.

Parking. There are plenty of parking places near to waypoint No1. From here go through the very small industrial estate to waypoint No2 which is the start of a public footpath., follow the path for just over a third of a mile until you come to a T junction with a water tower straight in front. Turn right here and now follow your GPS to the final co-ordinates.

Waypoint No1 N52.16.570

Waypoint No2 N52.16.575
W001.20.861

If you have any children with you please keep them with you at all times because there are some shear drops of more than 20 feet not very far from the cache. So be VERY CAREFUL around here and we wouldn’t recommend you do it at night.

The cache is a 1 litre container and the original contents are;
A large wooden dice.
A pack of cards.
A yo yo.
A leather wristband.
A pair of Ozzy Osbourne style sunglasses.
A toy spider.
A Nokia 6310 mobile phone.
3 old French coins (pre Euro).

A = You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, When I met you.
B = The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train.
C = Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible say,
D = And when I touch you I feel happy inside.
E = Far have I traveled and much have I seen Dark distant mountains with valleys of green.
F = I gave a letter to the postman, He put it in his sack.
G = She said she'd like to bathe in milk, he said, "All right, sweetheart,"
H = Disco dancing with the lights down low
I = And then I go and spoil it all by saying something,
J = No dark sarcasm in the classroom

While you’re here have a wander around there are quite a few remains of the brick factory scattered around the woods, you could also have a look at Stockton Cutting Nature Reseve SSSI.
