Geocache Description:

Family friendly cache on banks of the River Cletwr

A simple cache accessed along a level path besides the banks of the River Cletwr. Park at N52º30.889' W003º58.927' which will leave you with a walk of about a mile along the river to the cache.

The river itself has been channeled and has embankments along either bank to allow farming on the surrounding land. It is still a lovely walk and a perfect place to see wildfowl and other birds with excellent views out over the surrounding farmland and out towards the Dyfi Estuary.

Although flat the path can be muddy and isn't suitable for pushchairs.

Safety Notes: The walk to the cache is easy and there are no special safety issues. However, the footpath does continue out onto the saltmarsh areas of Traeth Maelgwyn. If you follow this please take note of the following:

a] This should go without saying, but don't trespass on the railway line.

b] Take the sign under the railway bridge that says the footpath floods at high tide seriously. It does and becomes impassable.
