E.R. Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: As there has been no response from the cache owner indicating that they are still actively geocaching and have visited the cache location to replace it if missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within the requested time period, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current geocaching.com guidelines. Please don’t post a note on your archived listing as it won’t be forwarded to me and I won’t see it. If you need to contact me, please do so by emailing me through the contact link on my geocaching.com profile page or through my website www.wizardofooze.com

Thank you for your contributions to geocaching, and we hope to see you actively geocaching once again in the near future.

Geocache Description:

Cache is not located at the above coordinates, but is not too far away. Coords are revealed in the story below by determining the order characters left the show. Read the WHOLE story CAREFULLY to get ALL INSTRUCTIONS and HINTS. Small Lock & Lock. Very small trade items or coins will fit. All cachers can easily solve this with a little help from the internet. It's not just limited to fans. Even I would need to use the internet for this one.

Placed as part of the BCGA's Blitz '07 event.

Attention all staff- Code 3! We have a situation in the ER and we need everyone's help STAT. A patient in the ER has left their stash hidden somewhere in the neighbourhood. We must find it or the patient will die and release the deadly DNF virus into this community.

"Dr. Greene, hurry, I need your help with this patient. Bring Dr. Weaver too, this is big!" shouted a new intern.
As they rushed to the trauma room they noticed Dr. Ross trying desperately to save Dr. Chen's patient... a 6 year old girl who claims to have been attacked by a witch on Burnaby mountain. She's in rough shape and scared DUngless. Her arm is half bitten off- she claims a tree did it- and she has scratch marks all over her from running through the forest past car wrecks and talking frogs trying to escape. "Get a surgeon down here STAT!" Dr Ross shouts urgently. Moments later, Dr Elizabeth Corday rushes to the little girl's side. After examining the wounds she sees that this is serious and calls in Dr. Benton for extra surgical support to save this little girl. Dr. Ross exits the trauma room as his patient is rushed to surgery and sees nurse Carol Hathaway, the mother of his twins and calls out to her. "Carol, stay with that girl and come and get me if there is any change. What kind of witch would do this to a little girl" He then rushed over to investigate the commotion going on in the other trauma room where Dr. Greene and Dr. Weaver are now attending to the intern's patient as he is ranting about some deadly DNF virus. Dr. Romano's beeper goes off and he is called away to help the little girl in surgery as well. She must be in really rough shape.
Dr. Greene brings everyone up to speed and explains what Dr. Carter knows so far:
DocMagoo discovered the patient who was dropped off in the ambulance bay at the ER in a red 911Turbo. He seemed confused about where he lives. He kept blambering on about being from the EastCoast now West Coast. Panic set in for him and he started Goin' Ape. He was on some sort of hunt and was upset about a DNF plague? A Pharmadude administered a sedative and shortly thereafter, he lost consciousness and became Tacomatose. Examination of his stomach contents revealed Canadian Bacon, wiggly beanz and cookie doe. Hmmm... pork & beanz with a side order of cookies? There is a map in his pocket and he has a GPSr showing a route. However, Mr had a Gigabyte of info in it so the search possbilities are Boundless. Perhaps he's some kind of nature owl or a mtn-man?
Just then this Awesome guy showed up with his Mrs and their geodug followed by a whole Kittyclan. He grabbed the GPSr and after looking at it for only a moment said that the key to the puzzle was to subtract .003 from the North coordinates. He was Half Canadian, and Scooter the Wonder Dog was able to lead us right to the spot we needed to get to. They were obviously the Goodguys here... ready to save the day. While they raced towards their destination, a BC Eagle led them further into the forest, and as it got darker, it began to look like a Forest Dragon soaring between the trees. As they raced through the cold to keep up with it, they all got Hollyburn trying to follow it. The bird stopped... frozen in position like an IceDragon on this cold evening... pointing at a hidey hole about chest height in the tree. There was some rustling in the bushes and out of the fog a MsChief Gps_y appeared with her Garmin branded crystal ball. She ominously signalled in the exact same direction. Quigley Jones then pulled out a Peppermint Patti from his pocket and shot it into a tree with a Catapult Jeff brought along. Success! He knocked the key-stone loose and the secret stash fell into their hands. The alphateam rushed back to the ER. The stash was a small rectangular container that just looked like General Tupperware covered with camouflague duct tape. These BC Trippers quickly piled into their Off Road Explorer and drove back to the ER so quickly that a Pearlwind was created in their wake. Once the patient had it in his hands, Mr'S. Brain and Pinky became more alert as he felt inside the container for something and pulled out this Scruffy looking notepad from the container that stunk like a stale skunk. He managed to scrawl a message in it... TFTC #200. From there on the recovery was miraculous. It was as if the Agassiz Angel was shining down on them that day in the ER.
And that is the story of how the DNF virus was contained. Through friendship and cooperation from those you know and the friends you just haven't met yet.
