Geocaching has become one of my favorite sports and has allowed me to meet many wonderful people. One geocacher, named Jason, has taught me a lot about geocoins. It also did not take long for me to realize that not only is he the King of Geocoins, but he is also the Micro Master. I always look forward to seeing Jason and his geocoin collection at events and if I'm lucky he may even help me find a micro or two before I head home.
The FTF prize at Newton Grove’s First (GCYWVR), was a seed cache that I decided to hide as a tribute to my friend Jason.
What better place to hide this special cache than in a town named JASON?
This small eastern North Carolina town is at the intersection of Pauls Path Road and NC HWY 903 South and you should drive slowly as you approach the intersection, or you might miss it. The town also has special memories for me, because I used to play semi-pro baseball at a nearby ballpark.
It is not necessary to disassemble or remove any items to find the cache. Mr. Fred Allen, the homeowner across the street, granted permission to place the cache, so please respect the hiding spot and the surrounding property as you search.
