"Birds of a Feather" is a multi-stage cache created by KING BILLY. There are currently 2 stages to this cache.
The caches are hidden in and around the Hawk Island Park/Evergreen-Mt Hope Cemetery....and depending on your time and energy levels, there are different parking options to choose from.
For those wanting a quick and easy find...
1) You can enter the cemetery and park very near stage 1. The coords are:
N 42 42.414
W 084 31.641
OR
2)You can park closer to stage 2 and backtrack via a trail into the cemetery for Stage 1. The coords are:
N 42. 42 205
W 084 31.590
OR
3)If you are seeking a more leisurely experience, you can access the caches through Hawk Island Park. From here, it will take you about 15-20 minutes to walk back to the cache. It is a great walk, though, and you will surely enjoy the experience. Deer, turkey, and lots of other wildlife can be seen in the heavily wooded area. There are trails leading back to the caches.
Hawk Island Park is located on Cavanaugh Rd. between Aurelius and Pennsylvania. It is a great place for the family. There is a lake, boat rental, fishing, clubhouse, grills, changing rooms, bathrooms, vendon machines, snack bar, playscape, etc. On weekends, there is a $2 entrance fee...but than can be waived if you tell the attendant that it is too much money.
OK ON TO THE CACHE... The caches are located in mystery containers. If I told you too much, it would ruin the cache adventure. So have fun with this one. There is a pen and paper to log in. There is not a theme persay, so leave whatever you want. It was started with some TB's. The caches are about a 5 minute walk apart.
Please make sure you replace the cache exactly as you found it. Also, when leaving comments, please do not say anything that would give it away. My 4 year old son (King Billy) came up with the idea, so let me know if you liked it. Ok, have fun in the great outdoors.
