Cache is off a powerline overlooking the Owego Free Academy Indians.
Steep .48 mile hike up a powerline that goes straight up a hill. DO NOT DRIVE UP THE POWERLINE. Parking is on a dirt pulloff on Rt96/38 next to some billboards. There is an automobile trail from when there was a maintenence crew up there last summer, I recommend following this trail up to the powerline. Take some time and look at the views down the valley and of the Owego Aplachin School System. On the way up you will see large "O" "F" and "A" signs that are kind of destroyed from various winds and storms. They are visible from the football stadium. I love to hike and snowshoe back here in the summer and winter and explore the woods. The cache is an ammo can. Inside are a log book and a cache camera. The camera is to stay in there, please take a picture of yourself and return the camera. I do not recommend doing this cache during deer season! Most imortantly, have fun with the cache and enjoy the beautiful views.
