Springfling 2007, Oklahoma Cache Run will take place at
Boggy Depot State
Park. As in all of Oklahoma's state parks, both tent and RV
camping are available. Official start time will be noon on 28
April 2007. Registration
is required, so please submit early. There is a cost savings on
the meals for those who register
before 14 April 2007. So get those registrations mailed in
early.
As in previous events, Boy Scout Troop 84 will be providing
meals. The fees shown on the registration
form are for the cost of the meals. These are a great value,
when you consider the convenience and the time savings. This year,
in addition to the three meals covered by the basic fees
(supper-Saturday, breakfast and lunch-Sunday), the Boy Scouts can
provide a sack lunch for Saturday lunch. See the registration
form for information on ordering.
A help desk will be staffed starting from 4-8pm on Friday night,
from 8am-12pm on Saturday, and finally 10am-12pm on Sunday. The
help desk will be your source for information. Please check in
at the help desk before the start of the event. The help desk
will insure that all participants are registered, and will provide
the needed identification for those taking advantage of the Boy
Scout provided meals. The help desk will also serve as the point to
turn in your Hide and Seek entries. The help desk will be located
just south of the event pavilion.
At this time, games are still
being developed, but preliminary information looks exciting. As
always, there will be a Hide and Seek event, which will allow you
to test a sample of your best caches. A murder mystery game based
on the musical 'Oklahoma' is being prepared. Also keeping with the
'Oklahoma Cache Run' theme, there will be an game celebrating the
Oklahoma Land Run. There are also plans for some games for the
younger cachers.
The buttons at the top of this section will take you to another
website, where additional information, maps, registration and order
forms can be found.
BE SURE AND CHECK THIS PAGE AND THE OTHERS FOR
UPDATES
Additional information on the games, and other items of entry will
be added as they become known.
