which has been specifically designed with easy access in
mind.
A trail around
Tamworth to visit some of the oldest and most influential historic
buildings that have helped to shape Tamworth into the great
town that it is today.
The clues can be attempted in any order but only
after all have been completed will you be able to continue to the
final location and the 'Treasure'.

Thomas Guy
was one of the most influential figures in Tamworth's
history. He was most notable for the founding of Guy's and
St. Thomas's Hospitals in London. His mother was born in
Tamworth and this led to his interest in the town.

The
Assembly Rooms have always been associated with the bringing

This is the
building that housed the first hospital in Tamworth. It still
contains a memorial to the hundreds of local soldiers who gave

This person is
renowned throughout the world for founding the Metropolitan Police
Force. He was MP for Tamworth during his time and lived locally at
Drayton Manor. The building was another funded by Thomas Guy but
has been altered many times since.

This building
stands as a monument to the women who worked tirelessly to support
the men throughout the First and second World Wars and kept the
home fires burning. The building is still the home of the W.R.V.S.

This is the
gateway between the town and the castle. From here you can look
across the beautiful gardens and the South of the town. At
