Size Matters! Traditional Cache
badlands: This cache started out as a five gallon bucket, then a large lock n' lock and finally a small lock n' lock. As the area has been cleared, the only suitable container would now be a micro. As this cache cannot be replaced in the manner originally intended I'm reluctantly archiving it. Thanks to all who have visited!

....You know that it does! This jumbo cache is located just off of an overgrown nature trail in Easton Park in West Chicago.
I needed a gi-normous bucket to hold all of the great junk in this cache! So bring your best stuff to trade.
Also, there's a digital camera inside the cache. If you're the picture taking type, please shoot a couple of you, the kids, the dog...whatever. I'll post them on THIS page every now and again. So bookmark this cache now! (It's a cheap camera, and needs to be held at least 5 feet from you to be in focus.)
And about the top of the bucket....It's HARD to get off, and almost as HARD to get back on properly....so drink that Red Bull before you leave in the morning! You'll need some extra strength.
Parking is available closeby. The path is a little overgrown, with lots of thorns...thus the terrain rating of 2.5. If you practice CITO, bring a dumpster. This park is a beautiful piece of property, and has such great potential, but isn't maintained as well as it could be.
Update 3/9/08: This park is undergoing extensive renovation. The paths are unclear, at best. I had to move this further away from any semblance of a path, so it may not be appropriate for VERY young kids....
