Geocache Description:

THIS IS A REFLECTION CACHE - IT IS MEANT TO HOLD ITEMS TO LOOK AT, NOT TO TRADE ------ PLEASE ADD TO THE CACHE, BUT TAKE NOTHING FROM IT.
Travel Bugs and Geocoins are welcome, provided there is room.

Placed on my older brother's 39th birthday. We grew up out here and spent many summer days swimming and fossil hunting in the quarry just a few hundred feet east of this cache. It wasn't private property back then and the road that now dead ends at the railroad tracks used to go through to CTY K at the other side of the quarry. There weren't any homes out here either and this place was used by many young hicks as a gathering place where they could get loud and not disturb the neighbors.

Please approach the cache from the East, you will avoid the railroad tracks by doing so. There is a cul-de-sac at the end of the short road before the tracks that puts you right about where we used to ditch our bikes when we were kids, before the road was dead-ended.

If you were to follow Quarry Road to the west you'd come to the other end of it about 2 miles from the cache where it T intersects at Walton Road. The farmhouse on the left is the childhood home of seldom|seen.

Further west there are a few other childhood hangouts that will soon host caches as well.

In his youth, my brother was an avid fossil collector and to this day still holds an interest and will occasionally go on digs in the Dakotas and elsewhere. We got together recently and went through his old fossil collection, many of which came out of this quarry, and pulled a few that he didn't mind parting with. We put those in a bag with a note that they should stay in the ammo can so they can be shared with other visitors to the cache.

Please hunt for this cache during daylight hours so you can see what's in the cache without aid of flashlight. Also, traffic out here during the day will be better for the nearby farmsteads.

This cache should only contain "Relics". You can decide what that means, but for now is houses only fossils from my youth. I will remove the typical swag from this cache at regular intervals. UPDATE 6.6.12 Cache was relocated with permission of property owner. There is a logical parking spot and it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to hone in on GZ from there.
