Geocache Description:

James & Sheryl

Owners of the Sugarbush Cache, and host's of last years Sugarbush Pancake Brunch, invite you to:

Sugarbush Pancake Dinner 2007

Hosted by: James & Sheryl.  Sponsored by: NL Chapter of MIGO

Saturday March 17th

This started as a cache, grew into an event, and now looks like an annual thing.

This is a chance to see a small backyard maple syrup making operation.

You will be able to log a cache that not many people will get a chance to log,

and maybe get a free bottle of homemade maple syrup.

And now, the Plan:

11am-3pm

Tours of a sugaring operation, time to do the Sugarbush Cache (for those who haven't done it), whatever else we may devise & socialize with Cachers old and new.

3PM-till you all leave

Dinner at our local Township Hall: Consisting of some great link sausage (from our local butcher),

pancakes, butter, maple syrup, fruit salad, milk, juice, coffee & tea

Bring nothing but yourselves, everything will be provided.   A donation jar will be available to help defray the costs.

Any monies collected in excess of costs will be donated to MIGO NL Chapter

Sugaring is highly weather dependant, even though this date has been picked to provide the best chance of being in full swing, no guarantees, but the event will take place regardless, even if it becomes a meet and greet.

We ask that everyone please RSVP so we can be prepared

We ask a few people bring along griddles and spatulas so we can crank out enough food for the masses in a timely manner. Please add in your posts if you plan to bring a griddle, five or six should be plenty. Warning: There is a chance you may get hooked into flipping a few jacks yourself.

Now for some rules, this will be both an outdoor and indoor event. The trails at this time of year are highly unpredictable; they vary hour to hour as well as day to day. Good footwear is advised, it could be snowy, slushy, muddy, or a combination. One last thing: No smoking in or near the horse barn.

Lawn chairs would also be a good idea.

Bring your appetite, lawn chairs, and prepare to spend some time with fellow cachers.
