In 1937 The City of Manchester constructed the Great Arch Bridge soon to be named the Notre Dame Bridge.
This wonderful architectural masterpiece adorned the skyline of the Queen City for 52 years, becoming the City's Signature landmark.
Sadly it was demolished in 1989.
This simple little known monument was erected to commemorate the Notre Dame Bridge that Manchester natives recognized as a symbol of their city.
