Le Moenchberg (Mont des Moines), situé sur les communes d’Andlau et d’Eichhoffen, à une altitude comprise entre 220 et 260 mètres est l'un des plus anciens vignobles d'Alsace (créé sous l'occupation des romains).
Sous l'égide des moines bénédictins de l'abbaye d'Altorf qui en firent l'acquisition en 1097, ce vignoble connut tant de succès que depuis les habitants y poursuivirent de tout temps la culture de la vigne.

The Moenchberg (Mountain of the Monks), located between Andlau and Eichhoffen, at an altitude between 220 and 260 meters, is one of the oldest vineyards in Alsace (created under the occupation of the romans).
Under the direction of the benedictin monks from the Altorf abbey, who acquired it in 1097, this vineyard had such success that since then the habitants pursued the growing of the grapes.
