A Word About BETA
BETA is a
volunteer group affiliated with the Bureau of Land Management(BLM)
at Ft Ord Public Lands. It's purpose is to establish hiking,
equestrian, and mountain bike patrols to provide visitor assistance
and to promote trail courtesy and etiquette among trail users.
A Word About BETA BOB
BETA BOB is the heart and soul of BETA. He does all the jobs that
nobody else does and he lives to tell about it. (Doesn't he, Ann?)
He is the BETA Quartermaster, the Creekside Terrace Steward, the
Educator, the guide, and the philosopher.
When the Geocachers descended on the Fort for Trash and Evasive
(errr... lets make that Invasive) Species Control(TISC) it was BETA
Bob who purchased Starbucks Coffee for the entire crew. That's just
the way he is...
BETA BOB, this cache is for you. It's
just a way for all of us Geocachers to say THANKS!
BETA BOB the Cache
The cache is an ammo can hidden in the limbs of a fallen tree at
BETA Corners which is at the junction of Barloy Canyon Road
and Eucalyptus Road deep in the backcountry of Ft Ord.
