Close to Aldeia de Marim, this place used to be a prosperous factory, labouring in saltz extraction and fish "conservation". Nowadays it's only a bunch of ruins, although the whole plot is still property of the original family who owned the factory. Actually, it's for sale, so this may be a short-life cache. However it has been on the market for quiet a few years now, probably four or five and it's still there.
The whole place may be of some interest, showing a tipical laguna landscape, with lots of birds living nearby. A smal portion of fluvial beach is also present - not good for swimming though. Another interesting feature is the old watertide mill. Not far from the spot, there is an open and wide area, where some RV vehicles can be spotted and the practice of nautical sports is common.
If you visit during the dry season or if you have a 4 wheel cachemobile, this is basically a drive-in cache. Otherwise you may need to walk for approximately 300 meters. A piece of advice: try to come when the tide is high. The place is much nicer by then.
Two extra pieces of data: it's really close to EN125 and muggles may be a problem, specially of the fishermen kind.
