Geocache Description:

The Carhops Hidden Cache - Easy cache, easy terrain but be stealthy!

Back in the 1960’s, and only a few feet away from this hidden cache, a fairly well known restaurant operated here. Those local to the area will remember this place. Without naming the establishment, it was known for it’s orange colored roofs, and spawned many smaller fast-food franchisees around the country. They also still operate a famous hotel/motel operation still today. This particular establishment was well known for it’s drive-in where you could park your 1967 Ford Fairlane into the designated drive in spaces and next to the large menu signs next to your driver’s side window. A push of the button would summons a cheerful Hello! Welcome to ________ May I take your order? You order yourself a Mighty Mo, fries and a chocolate malt. About fifteen minutes later, a carhop dressed in white shirt/blouse and dark trouser would bring out your order and set the tray onto the door frame of your vehicle. You tip your carhop and sit back with your date and eat your food. Maybe listening to WPGC Good Guys Radio with Harv Moore playing the current hits of 1967 on your AM radio. This was a common scene at this location that no longer exists. A simpler time, and memories goneby. It was thought that a certain carhop back in 1969 was working here and left a small cache for a customer she waited on several times and became close friends with. What was in this cache and why did she feel she needed to hide this? That is the mystery. Not to far into the future, this establishment closed down and never returned to business. What happened to the carhop? What happened to the friend? Why did this place close it’s doors? Since the closing, this place has had other businesses operating off and on throughout the years. At this time, it seems to be abandoned. The question now, is that cache possibly still around and unclaimed by that special guy? Your job is to see if that cache indeed exists? Good Luck! This cache is a Micro Cache and is contained in a very small container. Only big enough to hold a log, pencil and a travel bug tag. Can only accomodate one travel bug tag only! Goodluck, and stay stealthy! This is a moderate muggles area!
