Saratoga Creek is about 25 miles long. It begins as McElroy Creek
at the top of Mt. McPherson (Mt. Bielawski), 3,231 feet. It turns
into Saratoga Creek at the Saratoga Springs Resort. It follows
Highway 9, Saratoga Avenue, and Lawrence Expressway, then passes
through Central Park in Santa Clara and flows into San Tomas Aquino
Creek, the Guadalupe Slough and finally into San Francisco Bay.
The cache is located near the creek, but do not go down to the
creek to locate it. Stay on level land and high ground. You do not
have to go behind any fences or onto private land. The creek can
have a lot of water flowing in it at times and can be dangerous.
Watch your children if they are with you. Please be aware of the
local muggle population and nearby houses. The cache is a nano and
there is no room for trade items. Be sure that you return the cache
to the exact location you found it. You will need a pen to sign.
Nearby power lines may (will?) interfere with your GPSr.
A nearby parking lot or parking on the street will give good
access. This is a nice park for a picnic or stroll. There is a nice
playground nearby as well as picnic tables. No trees were harmed in
the placing of this cache
.
