NEI-GEO's
February Meet & Eat
AND
Midwest Geobash Cache Contest
at Gilhooley's Restaurant in Kendallville
February 24th

Located at 1001 West North Street, the Junction of Hwys 6 & 3 in Kendallville; Gilhooley's is a family restaurant. Here is their MENU. We will be meeting in the banquet room.

The fun begins at NOON

We will be ordering from a limited menu. The cost should be about $8.00 (including tip). Baskets include: Cole Slaw, a soft drink, and French Fries.

Our choices are:

A) Gilhooley Burger (a Bacon-BBQ-Cheeseburger ) Their speciality!
B) Breaded Pork Tenderloin (Very good too!)
C) Grilled Chicken Breast
D) Hamburger

Kendallville, IN and the Noble County Fairgrounds will be the home of this summer's Midwest Geobash 2007! With hundreds of geocachers swarming into Kendallville this summer, we thought it would be nice if they all had a few more geocaches to look for. So we have a challenge for all NEI-GEO and area cachers.

In anticipation of this event, NEI-GEO is sponsoring a
Midwest Geobash Cache Contest!

Here are the rules:

The Contest
A challenge to Geocachers to see who can place the best cache in the area, within a 10 mile radius, and the winner gets credit and a prize.

How it will work...

The February Meet & Eat Event Cache will announce and kick off the contest.
The event will, of course, feature geocachers hanging out and talking about caches!
All cachers will be invited to hide a cache in the area during the two month contest period. (You do not need to attend the Event to enter the contest!)
Caches need to be placed by April 24, 2007.
Important:All new hides need to include the initials "MWGB" in the cache name and needs to be approved and officially published by GC.com.
In early or mid-May, another Event Cache will be planned for voting on the winner.
The best cache(s) will be judged on creativity, difficulty, cleverness, and any other criteria deemed necessary.
All in attendance will vote, and the best cache(s) will be picked.

Guidelines for entries...

Entries should adhere to normal Geocaching.com guidelines.
You don't have to attend the February Meet & Eat Event Cache to participate, but it is recommended to attend the Voting Event Cache in case you win.

Please write a note to give us an idea of how many will be attending. If you show up at the last minute, that's great too!
