Geocache Description:

Seventyfifth in the Famous People (FP) Series - Heather Locklear

Heather Deen Locklear (born September 25, 1961) is the youngest of four children and a cousin of Donald Trump's second wife, Marla Maples. Heather was married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee from 1986-1993. After their divorce, she married Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora on December 17, 1995 in Paris.

In the 1990's (after a failed sitcom Going Places), Locklear played perhaps her best known part, the vixen Amanda Woodward on the series Melrose Place from 1993 to 1999. She was originally brought on as a guest star in an attempt to boost the ratings, and her billing in the credits reflected this. Despite eventually becoming a regular cast member, she continued to be listed as a "Special Guest Star" through the entire series.

A spinoff from Beverly Hills 90210 (though not featuring any permanent cast members crossing over), Melrose Place is a small apartment block in the West Hollywood district of Los Angeles where several young singles and the occasional couple reside.

After mediocre first-season ratings the producers attempted to revamp the series. This was done mainly through the late first season arrival of former Dynasty vixen Heather Locklear as the scheming and assertive Amanda Woodward. Initially intended as a high-profile guest, Amanda was retained in the series on a permanent basis. Amanda soon bought the apartment building, became a vice-president for the company where she and fellow resident Alison worked, and had affairs with many of the male characters, starting with Billy. The show was also converted from a drama series with episodes featuring a self-contained story, to a soap opera with ongoing, interwoven stories.

I guess there's some irony in the cache name and the type of hide it is, but you'll be able to tell when you are there. The cache is a 35mm container, hidden in a very typical fashion. And of course, remember to BYO .

Coordinates were determined with a WAAS enabled Garmin eTrex Legend Cx averaged over a 4 minute span to an accuracy of 6.9'.
