Take the dry stream bed instead of trying to climb down to it.
Welcome to Hurricane Hollow! Hurricane Hollow is a valley that runs between Bee Mountain and Pine Mountain with a small stream leading to a small lake. It is so named because when the wind is blowing through the hollow it sounds just like you are in a hurricane! This hide is off the Pine Mountain trail system and can not be accessed from the West Trail. Parking is available from on the lot just before the KOMATSU entrance now! Follow the path along the stream through the hollow. You will come to a downed tree blocking the stream that you must navigate around, over or under and then continue on along the path next to the stream. This is a nice path alongside the stream that runs through Hurricane Hollow. The container is located a few feet outside the Blue Blazed City of Cartersville Pine Mountain property on a rock ledge after a slight climb. CO FTF ~ OWL1959 & JOHNNIE! WTG for braving the cold to get this one!
