DID U KNOW?
The living representative of the Hindu goddess, Karniji, and a
temple in Deshnok, India, is dedicated to this rats. Its marble
walls have holes for them to live, and predators kept strictly out.
Over 10,000 of them live in the temple, sharing their food with
worshippers. They are totally unafraid of humans, even eating from
the same plates!
The people of Deshnok village believe they will be reincarnated as
one when they die.
