Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Highland Cemetery. The gates are open from 8 AM to 5 PM October 1st through March 30th and 8 AM to 7 PM April 1st through September 30th.

Starkweather Chapel This cemetery, nearly 150 years old, is full of history.  Near the cache location you will find Aubree French's grave.  His family restaurants are still in business in Depot Town just a short drive south down River St.  Another notable person resting here is Mary Starkweather.  A hall named after her on the Eastern Michigan University campus is rumored to be occupied or haunted by her ghost.

The coordinates will lead you to the cusp of a hill that is one of the highest spots in Ypsilanti.  It offers a great view of EMU and other parts of town.  The cache, a medium sized camouflaged lock & lock, is located within a dozen feet of that point.  It contains an assortment of swag, log book, etc.

Please use caution is you decided to descend the hill.  It is very steep and may be slippery.
