Conisbrough Castle Traditional Cache
Mr Truffles: I have had replies from all but one recorded visitor to the cache since the 2 Tb's were placed in the cache and none can recollect seeimng the items. There is one visitor who I cannot find on gc.com but he visited after the trackables seem to have disappeared which was in February. The cache has clearly been compromised and thieves have been active. I am archiving the cache. Thanks to all who have visited.

Conisbrough Castle is an imposing sight for those travelling between Doncaster, Rotherham and Mexborough and is a wonderful piece of history right in the middle of South Yorkshire.
I am amazed that no cache has been placed here so I have rectified this by placing a cache in a position giving, in my opinion, the best close up view of the dominant keep and castle walls.
The cache is not in the castle grounds.
All historical information about the castle and its opening times etc cane be found by visiting www.conisbroughcastle.org. It is well worth a visit so having parked up to visit this cache why not visit the castle. Have a look at the George V lamp and water pump nearby.
Substantial parking is available a very short distance away from the cache.
The cache is a beaker with screw top lid covered in cammo tape containing a log book, pencil, sharpener and a few trade items.
