We learn early in life that some materials are "soft as silk" and others are "hard as steel." This property of matter has been studied and formalized since 1822 and much scientific knowledge has been gathered in this area of science ever since.
If you like rocks and minerals as much as we do, you should know the famous line:
"The geologist can find an ordinary quartz (that) tourists call diamond."

This cache is similar to Hard Rock Exchange #1 in that it contains rock and mineral samples with possible identification. You are welcome to bring an interesting rock to exchange. Label if you can and bring a pencil. The FTF gets a pocket book on rocks and minerals.
The actual cache coordinates are:
N 39° tT.cOF W 120° 31.QGt
Important note: t is different from and less than T
c is different from and less than C
