Working on getting the legs back into shape for an upcoming Grand Canyon hike. Not been doing a lot of hiking the last couple years given schoolwork, but that wrapped up a couple weeks ago. Put in a little over 8 miles, 1500' ascent/descent today at El Corte de Madera Creek. Started at gate CM09, headed down the Virginia Mill trail to the bridge over Lawrence Creek. One side trip up and back on Lawrence Creek trail to retrieve a geocache.

Geocache Description:

An ammo can along the trail in El Corte de Madera OSP.

Chasing ghosts in my head these days. Going through some troubled times, missing the love of my life. Hiking, kayaking, those are my meditations, my healing. I hope anyway. Decided to head up to Corte Madera for a hike today to try and clear my mind. Dropped a few caches along a little used trail.

A very beautiful setting. The creek was running well the day the cache was placed. I always love the sound of running water. Enjoy!
