Geocache Description:


This cache is at an old wagon bridge that was used in the anglo boer war and is still used today by farmers and locals. The bridge is very save to drive over. Once in the middle of the bridge {OVER THE WATER}stop and look over the side. The metal frame pieces you see is remainS of the first bridge that was blown up by the English. It was rebuilt then and has been in use eversince. If you arrive at the bridge from Hopetown, stop in front of the bridge at a small parking. The parking is at the original Tollhouse. Walk to the right side of the bridge.There you will see a path beside the bridge leading to a stone tunnel that goes underneath the bridge that you can walk through or you can walk straight alongside the bridge towards the cache. WARNING DO NOT SWIM AT THIS SPOT,THE RIVER IS VERY DEEP AND UNPREDICTABLE WATER WILL PULL YOU UNDER BECAUSE OF UNDERWATER ROCKFORMATIONS AND STEALSTRUCKTURES. NO MATTER HOW GOOD A SWIMMER YOU ARE YOU WILL DROWN.
