John and Carol's Historic Homegrown Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

G.O. John and Carol: I'm going to make room for something new here. This has proven to be a difficult cache to maintain. Thanks for the visits!

Geocache Description:

This cache cannot be accessed from the west. It is near railroad tracks, but is not accessable from them due to a fence, so don't even consider getting anywhere near those tracks!.

Close parking and short but fairly intense bushwacking in the summer. Just off a bike path.

I was rummaging around in one of our bins of cache containers (yes, we have bins, bags, boxes, and shelves full of them), and I came across the container from "Our Last Batavia Cache". That's an old, now archived cache that I adopted from Bob and Kath when they moved from the area. Bob and Kath hid some VERY creative and challenging caches before they moved, and their last Batavia cache certainly fell into that category.

I've taken that historic cache container and put it into our own homegrown holder. I even managed to round up an old waypoint (GC number) to use for this cache. If you're one of the lucky few who found the original cache, you'll have an advantage here, although it's not hidden exactly like it was in Batavia. This may prove to be one of our most challenging caches. We'll see...

Good luck!
