A beautiful walk along the hogback will take you to this cache.
This is a beautiful hike along the hogback. The trail is well maintained, but passes close to some cliffs,so watch the young ones. Mountain bikes are allowed on the trail - watch out for them going to and from the cache, and while searching. Just a short hop from the trail, and you can stay on rock to avoid any erosion.
Parking is available near the trailhead on the east side of the hogback near where Rooney Road crosses through the roadcut.
Please be sure to return the cache to its secure location to avoid losing it yet again - thanks!
Update on 08/28/08: I'm sorry to report that CDOT has decided to close the section of Alameda that goes over the Hogback, and it is now necessary to either walk the road from either side, or pay to take the Dinosaur Ridge shuttle bus.
