Geocache Description:

A nice little adventure at North Anclote River Nature Park in Tarpon Springs.

There's a few ways you can do this one. You can park at 550 Old Dixie Highway (N28°09.937 W082°44.954) and walk or bike (unpaved) close to the cache. You can take the Pinellas Trail almost all the way to the north end and be within a few hundred feet. You could probably kayak. Skydiving is an option, although there are high tension wires nearby, so pursue option that at your own risk. :)

Depending on tides, you'll most likely get wet. If you take your shoes off, the oysters will slice you up good so that's not such a swell idea. Be kind to the mangroves, they help keep the water clean and the riverbanks intact.

Low tide is your friend, and I placed this so that you can take animal trails and natural gaps the whole way...I would not advise bushwacking . I've seen snakes, and the ones here are not acclimated to constant human traffic. If you're stumped on the best crossing point, my fav is in the clue, but there are more than one.

This is a real cache. It's in an ammo can, and the log book doesn't need to be rolled up. You don't need to guess which light pole, use a paper clip, or worry about being stealthy. The only way the contents will get soggy is if you dunk it in the river.

The cache is concealed in the shade of a nice little oak tree. Please keep it covered so it stays put.

Enjoy!
