This geocaching event is sponsored in part by the Raymond A Whitwer Tilden Public Library and is geared for those new to or just curious about this worldwide growing sport.
Time to dust off those GPS recievers if you have one spring is about to- well- Spring! The event will be held March 10th 2007 in the Lied Auditorium of the library beginning at 10 AM and running until 12 noon unless there is interest to run longer. Anyone interested in Geocaching is welcome to attend weather just curios or a veteran cacher. The basics of the GPS system, history of Geocaching, types of caches, placement and other general topics will be covered along with time for questions. A few cachers have volunteered their GPS receivers so if you don’t have one not to worry. There will be event caches of different types for attendees to find so dress according to the weather. Coffee, juice and cookies will be provided
