Many people know that George Lucas filmed part of the Ewok
Adventure in Roy's Redwoods. Many also know that John Roy owned
this land long before it became an open space, even before Ewoks or
hippies roamed the area. But fewer know that through some portal in
time and space, Roy and Chuka Trok exchanged letters about their
mutual respect for these woods.
The letters between Roy and Chuka have been lost. But perhaps by
writing a note in the cache log, you can join their
correspondence.
The cache itself is your basic tupperware container in the woods
type of hide. After you find the cache, rejoin the main trail as it
rises slightly to the top of the hill -- from there you will come
to a fallen log. The main trail goes right at the log, but by
continuing straight you can follow the ridge down to the large
meadow to complete a very nice loop.
