lookout at northern orewa,edge of a cliff,dont need to go close to.Care is needed when driving into lookout carpark,approach from top of hill.Easy cache with cache offset a small distance.
Great views when the suns out & the swell is running,this place is where I learnt to surf 40+ years ago when I felt the magic of sliding down a wave for the first time.That feeling is still alive today.
The cache is offset (not really a multi as such)as I couldnt find a suitable place for the cache esp. due to the activity around the lookout.Find a sign on the steps which tells you who built the lookout.Count up all the letters .
Divide this total by three & with the RESULT subtract this from the last 3 no.s of the South co-ordinate (409- --)
For the East-- double the RESULT & add it to the last 3 digits (548+--)
