Geocache Description:

The location of the cache is easy to get to, just a very short walk from the beginning of the by-way where you can park your vehicle. As this track is used occasionally by tractors there is a possibility that it might be a little muddy during the winter months.

When the cache was hidden the vegetation was quite sparce, I would expect things to perk up a bit though during spring and summer which might make it just a little wild.

You are looking for a small plastic container with a few useful bits in it. I have also put in a First to Find incentive that you might be able to use at the pub towards a coffee or maybe put it in the kids piggy bank, either way, take it as your prize!

I've always loved this part of Wiltshire and once being a postman for the nearby villages of Ebbesbourne Wake and Alvediston I got to know the area quite well.

Because this area isn't on any main route, its beauty is missed so a cache just here is the ideal way to to show off Wiltshires best bits, especially in the spring and summer.

Because you are quite high up, high up for Wiltshire that is, the views over the downland are lovely and if you were to walk through the gate toward West Chase Farm and to the top of the rise, just a short distance, you will be able to see Bournemouth on a clear day.

After doing this cache why not pop back into the village to the Horseshoe Inn in Handley Street, they serve some great country ales and good food. I also have a micro cache, The Old Micro, in the village just to make sure you visit this sleepy part of rural England.
