Rivendell Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Rivendell is another one of the Lord Of the Rings series of caches. Rivendell is an Elven outpost in the fictional realm called Middle-earth, as created by J. R. R. Tolkien.

Rivendell is described as a deep valley located at the edge of a narrow gorge of the river Bruinen, but well hidden in the moorlands and foothills of the Misty Mountains. The climate is cool-temperate with moderately warm summers and rather snowy winters.

J. R. R. Tolkien's, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, produced by New Line Cinema and released in three installments as The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002), and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

The Lord of the Rings trilogy starts from the quiet beginnings in the Shire, then ranges across Middle-earth. The story centers on the Ring of Power made by the Dark Lord Sauron, and follows the courses of the War of the Ring. The Lord of the Rings has created many characters such as Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Wizards, Orcs and Ents.
