When I retired the first time, after 25 years of driving
government cars, I decided to treat myself to a nice car. I bought
a Volvo C70, which I still love eight years later. If you solve
this puzzle and are the FTF, you too can have a C70. You'll see -
the thing you need to have a C70 is with the log book. If you
really don't think you're going to use it, then I request you leave
it in the cache for others. There is a nice Timex watch, working
fine, as a consolation FTF prize.
The message below is enciphered using a
Baconian Cipher, invented by Sir Francis Bacon. It uses the
Baconian alphabet (I/J together and U/V together) as set forth in
the American Cryptogram Association guidelines and Wikipedia.
Instead of using two typefaces or dividing up the alphabet A-M as
A's and N-Z as B's, however, I have assigned the letters to the A
and B groups differently. Solve the cipher by assigning the A's and
B's correctly and obtain the coordinates.
