Cache is hidden in the beach area, listed as No 8. in USA's top beaches. Not sure how long the cache will last once the rains begin.
If you can stay until after dark, the night the cache was hidden the bioluminescence in the surf was superb and the city lights are good anytime of year.
The bioluminescence is mostly due to a single celled algae 'bloom'. It comes and goes, more common in spring/summer, but has been seen year round on the Southern California coast, you may get lucky. Anyone interested in more information on this check out two excellent websites.

Original Cache contents include.
- A wooden giraffe
- Virgin airline socks
- Henry VIII gold coin 1545 (copy sorry) and other bit and pieces.
- Log book
- Camera (Collected 10-28-01 Pictures posted below).
As mentioned in some of the earlier logs there is a hole in the ground to watch for due to the stream run off near the rocks. Easy to bypass if your looking for it. If you go at night just keep an eye out, and I would recomend a flashlight if your near the rocks. Take care everyone.
Note:
From logs cache seems to have been raided recently but is still up and running but a little bare and in need of a new log book. Were out of town at the moment, if your planning to visit the cache or just passing could someone drop in a new log book for us. Thanks.
Hope you enjoy
