Well, this might be a far go but far be it from me to tell you
which way to go.
Either way you go, Mount Wells Park always offers a great get-away
from the grind.
The fresh air and the view from up here is what makes it all worth
it.
The cache container is a 10"x10" (5-gal) bucket with a spray
camo paint job.
It originally contained raw muffin batter from a certain Canadian
coffee/donut icon.
GPS reception may get spotty at times depending on which way you
go but near the cache site you should have no trouble getting a
good signal. Position accuracy at the site was averaged to +/-1.5m
so you should have no trouble zeroing in either.
Being a larger cache, I put some decent sized and quality
geoswag in to start it off.
To keep the item quality up, bring some nice swag to trade in case
you like something.
After you are done, take a moment to make sure the rehide looks
as natural as possible.
Take the usual measures for any mountainous trail hike before
embarking on the hunt.
It can take up to 2hrs and 6km worth of hiking to get to the cache
and back depending on which way you go.
Avoid doing this in adverse weather conditions. Rain makes the
trails slippery & dangerous. Respect the trails and signage to
stay out of ecologically sensitive areas.
I hope you enjoy the brisk hike, the cache and the view from
here...
