This cache is located near what once was, Boulder Junction area’s first fire tower. Constructed in 1932, it stood 84 feet high. A network of these towers, connected by telephone lines, allowed surveillance of the entire forest.
To access from Hwy H & Hwy K, follow Hwy K .9 miles. Turn left on dirt road follow .4 mile and take first cut-off to the right. Stop by the 2 large boulders blocking the path. For the more adventurous, access off Whitney Lake Rd. and hike in.
Cache is an ammo box with a logbook and fun items for trading.

Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form.
