Geocache Description:

Community work day to clean up the arboretum and repair the trails. Saturday, March 31, 2007 8am-12pm.

Another clean up has been scheduled for the arboretum. Come out and help. There will be six different projects going on. Clean trails, install fencing, repair swinging bridge, plant trees and repair trail identification signs.

Simmons Arboretum is a 10 acre natural habitat bordering the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was created from land donated to the City of Madison by Dr. and Mrs. Walter Simmons. It has evolved from unimproved land to a mile of walking trails with swinging and stationary bridges, an observation deck and native plants with identification markers. It is a city owned work in progress and open to the public.
