This is a 6 stage multi-cache aimed at getting people out to Renton's famed Tapeworm (aka Towers of Power) trail near Philip Arnold Park. These trails definitely make the most out of a small plot of land, twisting and turning like the human intestine. This is a popular mountain bike area, so I was hesitant to place a cache here for fear that it may attract hikers onto some of the few trails remaining that allow bikes. If you're on foot, please keep a sharp eye out and yield to all mountain bikers. Trail names include: Tapeworm, Parasite, Mr. DNA, and others...
I have laid the WPs out in a way that will serve all outdoor enthusiasts. Each WP can be found within 100 feet of a trailhead. Hikers, you would be best off finding each chameleon and following your steps back to the main path before moving to the next WP (consider it a two star difficulty/terrain rating if you take this approach). If you go too far off the main path, you will be tempted to cut trails. PLEASE DO NOT CUT TRAILS.
Mountain bikers, after finding each WP, enjoy the ride ahead on each path. If you've never been to the Worm before, I hope this will serve as a quality guide. Once you enter a trail and find the chameleon, you can just ride without worrying about your GPS until you hit the main trail again. Enjoy. PLEASE DO NOT CUT TRAILS.
All 5 WPs are color changing chameleons - Final is a lock & lock. You do not need to leave the trail to retrieve any of the containers.
