The time has come to get together again! The summer is long, the
sun is hot, the pavilion is shaded, what more could you want than
to see old friends again (and make some new ones as well!) We'll be
hosting the event at Pohick Bay Regional Park.
There is a $7 entrance fee to the park for those who do not live in
Alexandria, Arlington, City of Fairfax, Fairfax County, Falls
Church and Loudoun, so consider carpooling with a friend if
possible.

An "ice breaker" event (to get everyone to meet each other and
mingle) will start as soon as you arrive. Thanks to kelly@9 for setting it up!
10:30am - Arrival and sign-in
11:00am - Event Begins
12:00pm - Lunch
2:00pm - Fund-raiser
3:00pm - OPEN

Info:
A fund-raiser will be held during the event. Proceeds to go NoVAGO
to cover expenses such as website hosting, pavilion rentals, etc.
The fund-raiser will be in the form of a silent auction.
Please note that cash is the only
thing we can accept, so if you see something you like below and
plan to bid, bring extra cash with you to the event. We cannot take
IOUs, checks, or credit cards. Some of the great items are:
- Travel Bugs and Coins
- NoVAGO Cafe Press items
- Geocaching hardware AND
Software
- Ready-made caches (from micro to
regular/large)
- Items generously donated from The
Caching Place, Backcountry and DeLorme
AND some awesome intangible items to include:
- Guided tour of a cache series with
a popular local cacher
- Hint to puzzle cache of your choice
(several owners)
- Tutorial Session
(one-on-one)/Geocaching software
Be sure to get your bids in, these items will be
HOT!

soliciting contributions of items and time for our
fund-raiser.
Important
Information
1. Charcoal and fluid for the grills will be provided by
2Wheel'in.
2. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided by NoVAGO.
3. There is an existing multi-cache in the park. There are also quite a
few caches in the surrounding area to keep you busy before and
after the event!
4. There is a miniature golf and frisbee golf course near the
pavilion if you want to play, as well as canoe and kayak rental if
you'd like to go into the water (bring your own if you have it!)

5. Lawn chairs, blankets, etc. should be considered in case we all
can't fit under the pavilion.
6. If you bring Travel Bugs, please exchange them amongst
yourselves rather than leave them on a table for trading. They tend
to get lost that way and we all know how frustrating that can
be.
7. Feel free to take photos during the event and add them to the
event page in your logs! You can also post them to the gallery on our website after the event.
8. Raffle--if you have something to donate to the raffle bring it
and pass it to one of them NoVAGO officers. You can also contact
NoVAGO through our profile link at the top of this page.
9. A paved trail connects the parking lot to the pavilion for any
of our disabled cachers.
10. Keep the cache on your watchlist and check back often for any
updates.
Potluck:
Enjoy the potluck lunch provided by various cachers in the area.
Please post your Will Attend log with what you plan to bring. If
you don't know now, please post it as the event gets closer so we
can keep track of who is bringing what and try to fill in holes. A
list will be posted periodically for you to see what others are
bringing. No dish, dessert or drink will get turned away! All food
is welcome!
